Facials in Glenside & Spring House, PA

We are a massage spa that also does facials, and that is worth saying up front because it tells you what kind of facial to expect. Cleansing, exfoliation, a mask, a proper amount of hand massage, and hydration. No needles, no lasers, no peels. Four of them on the menu at both locations, from a 30-minute mini to a 75-minute G.M. Collin lifting treatment — plus the 100-minute massage and facial, which is what most people end up booking once they know it exists.

Which of the four to book

Hydration Facial, 60 minutes. The default, and the right first booking for nearly everyone. Skin that feels dry, tight or dull after a winter of indoor heating is exactly what it is for. If you cannot decide, this is the one.

Gentlemen’s Facial, 60 minutes. Built around skin that gets shaved several times a week, which is a different problem from the one the standard facial solves. Same length, same room, nobody makes a thing of it.

Collin Hydrating Lifting Facial, 75 minutes. The long one, using the G.M. Collin professional line. It gives immediate and longer-lasting hydration and has a thermo-cooling effect on the skin, which is why it is the one we suggest for skin that is dehydrated or sensitive, or prone to rosacea or breakouts. This is the facial our regulars rebook.

Mini Facial, 30 minutes. A deep clean and a hydration mask. Two honest uses: finding out whether you actually enjoy facials before committing an hour, and adding onto a massage you have already booked.

The hundred-minute one people actually book

Massage and Facial runs 100 minutes and sits in Tao’s Specials at both locations. Roughly half the time is bodywork and half is the facial, in one appointment, in one room, without getting dressed and re-parking in between. That last part is most of why people prefer it to booking two separate things.

It also solves the thing that makes ordinary facials slightly disappointing for people who came in tense: you cannot really relax into a facial when your shoulders are up around your ears. Doing the massage first fixes the order of operations.

Two of our guests have written about this booking on Google. One in February 2026: “I received the 50 min facial and 50 min deep tissue massage package by the manager. The staff are really nice and the manager told me about their other packages which are really affordable. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep twice.” Another, on a first visit: “I got a facial and deep tissue massage and all I can say is WOW. Incredible. I’ve never had such a great massage that truly targeted all of my problem areas.”

If you are buying a gift card for someone and do not know their preferences, this is the safe amount to put on it.

What we do not do, on purpose

No injectables. No lasers. No chemical peels. No microneedling. We are not a medspa and we are not pretending to be one, and if what you need is clinical skin treatment then a dermatologist is the correct answer and we will tell you that on the phone rather than sell you an hour that will not help.

What we do is the traditional thing, done unhurriedly and by hand: cleanse, exfoliate, mask, massage, hydrate, warm towels. There is decent evidence that gentle facial massage supports circulation and feels good, and no evidence that it replaces skincare or treats a medical skin condition. We are comfortable being the relaxing option rather than the clinical one.

If you want to lean further into the traditional side, the 15-minute Face Gua Sha stacks onto any facial and is the closest thing on the menu to a lifting technique that does not involve a needle.

Please tell your therapist about any skin condition, recent procedure, or product like a retinoid or acid you are using, and check with your dermatologist first if you are unsure. Tao Spa is a relaxation spa, not a medical provider.

Walk-ins are welcome at both, though a facial is harder to fit in on the spot than a massage because it needs the right room. Call or text (215) 824-8585 half an hour ahead and we will tell you honestly whether it will work.

Cash is preferred and listed prices are cash rates. Card payments may carry a small processing fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which facial should I book if I have no idea?

The 60-minute Hydration Facial. It is the one most people start with and it suits skin that is dry, tight, or just tired rather than skin with a specific problem. If you have never had a facial at all and want to find out whether you like the experience before spending an hour on it, the 30-minute Mini Facial is a deep clean and a hydration mask and it will tell you.

What is the Collin one?

The 75-minute Collin Hydrating Lifting Facial, using the G.M. Collin professional line. It is the longer, richer version — immediate and longer-lasting hydration with a thermo-cooling effect on the skin, which makes it the one we point people toward if their skin is dehydrated, sensitive, rosacea-prone or acne-prone. It is the most expensive facial on the menu and it is the one regulars rebook.

Do you do facials for men?

Yes, and there is a 60-minute Gentlemen's Facial on the menu rather than us just handing men the standard one. Shaving is hard on skin and the priorities are different. Nobody is going to make a thing of it when you book — a decent share of our facial appointments are men, most of them sent by a partner the first time and coming back on their own after.

Is the massage and facial combo worth it over booking two things?

It is the single most-booked thing on this list, so most people seem to think so. It runs 100 minutes and it is one appointment rather than two, which matters more than the price. One guest wrote in February: "I received the 50 min facial and 50 min deep tissue massage package by the manager. The staff are really nice and the manager told me about their other packages which are really affordable. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep twice." Falling asleep twice is the review we are proudest of.

Is this a medspa? Do you do peels or injectables?

No, and we would rather be clear about it than have you turn up expecting one. There are no injectables here, no lasers, no chemical peels, and no microneedling. This is a massage and spa, and the facials are cleansing, exfoliation, mask, massage and hydration done properly by hand. If you want clinical skin treatment, you want a dermatologist or a medspa and we will happily say so on the phone.

Will I come out red or peeling?

Generally not, because we are not doing anything aggressive enough to cause it. Some people go slightly pink for an hour from the massage part and the warm towels. If you have a wedding or a photo on Saturday, book by Wednesday anyway — that is a sensible rule for any facial anywhere, not a warning about ours.

Can I add a facial onto a massage I have already booked?

The 30-minute Mini Facial is the one that bolts on cleanly. Call or text (215) 824-8585 rather than doing it online, because it depends on whether we have someone free for that half hour on the day. The 15-minute Face Gua Sha is the other thing people add, and it stacks with a facial as well as with a massage.

Are facials at both locations?

Yes. The same four facials are on the menu at Glenside and at Spring House. Glenside is open 9 AM to 9 PM every day; Spring House runs 10 AM to 9 PM and is closed on Tuesdays. Book whichever is the shorter drive — there is no facial you can only get at one of them.

How do I book a massage at Tao Spa?

Book a massage at Tao Spa in 4 steps: pick Glenside or Spring House, choose a 30, 60, 90 or 120-minute session, reserve online or call (215) 824-8585, then arrive 10 minutes early. Walk-ins are welcome at both Pennsylvania locations whenever a therapist is free, and gift cards are valid at either address.

  1. Choose your location. Glenside is at 106 N Keswick Ave, Glenside, PA 19038, open Mon–Sun 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Spring House is at 752 N Bethlehem Pike, Spring House, PA 19477, open Mon–Sun 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Closed Tuesday).
  2. Pick a treatment and a session length. Massage, reflexology and facials run 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes; couples rooms are booked in 60, 75 or 90-minute blocks. Not sure what you need? Our full service menu lists every treatment with its length.
  3. Reserve online, call or text (215) 824-8585. Weekend evenings and couples rooms fill first, so book 2 to 3 days ahead for those slots. Walk-ins are taken any time a therapist is open.
  4. Arrive 10 minutes early. A first visit starts with a short intake about pressure preference, problem areas and any health notes. Gift cards never expire and work at both locations.
